my mum has a lump in her throat under her chin which is kinda big doctor told her it was thyroid lump and is sending her to the hospital she has had cancer before i just don't know how to comfort her?
but is that throat cancer?

Thyroid mass are due to many conditions,simple cyst,goiter,benign adenoma,inflammatory and of course cancer primary and secondary.
She needs expert opinion,USG neck,Fine needle aspiration cytology from mass to get actual diagnosis.
Go consult Specialist.
You should have given complete data about cancer she had and treatment taken.

- My mum had a lump on the side of her neck, I was the size of a golf ball.
She went to the hospital and they put a needle in and drew out some white fluid and blood.
It was cancer and she had a lot of chemo and a operation with over 100 stitches in her neck and shoulder , they removed her gland.
After exercise and rest she got over it, She has been clear now for 5 years and leads a normal life.
It needs to be checked out it could be a cyst, But if it is cancer and they get to it quick enough, there is a good chance she will survive..
